What is URL forwarding?
It is a function to point your domain name to your active Web site (if you already have a Web site through us or anywhere else on the Internet). Visitors or customers who enter www.MyDomain.com in their browsers will automatically be transferred to any active site of your choice.

Here's an example:

www.MyDomain.com to http://www.geocities.com/mydomain/.

Thus, customers who enter www.MyDomain.com in their browser would automatically get transferred to www.geocities.com/mydomain/.

What is domain masking/cloaking?

Masking the destination Web address (also called cloaking) is a technique whereby your domain name www.MyDomain.com is forced to shows up in the browser instead of your destination URL, say, http://www.geocities.com/mydomain/.

Thus, visitors to http://www.geocities.com/mydomain/ would see your domain name in their browser. The technique works best with a Web site that has a long URL, typically associated with free hosting.

Can I use the URL-forwarding service even though my domain name is not registered through you?
