In its December 2010 meeting in Colombia, ICANN was expected to approve the final version of registries' Applicant Guidebook. It did not happen!

Now, gTLD applicants find themselves with no official guidance on when ICANN will open up its first-round of gTLD applications.

Nevertheless, the May 30, 2011 deadline is still the official first-round launch date.
